Envisioning Diversity

Are you responsible for obtaining a speaker or facilitator for a college, dorm, or Greek group?  Are you looking for a speaker who can challenge the audience to expand their concept of tolerance for differences in others?  Are you looking for a motivational speaker who can be a positive role model for overcoming adversity to be successful? If so, consider a Greater Vision Program by Cheryl Tomaino...

Objectives

The goal of this program is to challenge the participant to expand his or her experience of the concept of tolerance for others who may be different than they are-- either because of race, beliefs, culture, or physical or emotional impairment.

Target Groups

This program is particularly effective for college orientation programs or dorm house meetings to sensitize students to the needs and sensitivities of others who have special challenges or needs.  Fraternities, sororities, or other community service groups who desire to prepare themselves to enter into service projects with skills to meet the personal challenges they will confront will also find this a valuable resource.

Description

Through presentation of concepts, and guided discussion of situational trigger stories, participants will develop a greater understanding of others with different challenges, experiences, or needs.
